From an unidentified contemporary newspaper: Mrs. Falk Dies Monday at age of 90. East Peoria. Mrs. Rose Barnum Falk, 90, of 136 Canterbury Court, died at 9 a.m. Monday Apr 17, 1972 at the Canterbury address where she lived with her daughter, Mrs. John Parker, the last eight years. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilton Mortuary, Peoria. Rev. Ludwig Kutz of Parkview United Church of Christ will officiate and burial will be in Forrest Cemetery at Forrest, IL. A daughter of James and Martha Hacker Morris, she was born Aug 25, 1882 at Fisher, IL. She was married to William Barnum in 1899, at Piper City, IL. He died at Bay City, MI. She then married Otto Falk at East Peoria in 1949. He died at Peoria 1961. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John (Harriett) Parker, with whom she made her home, Mrs. Albert (Maddie) Meyers of Midland, MI., Mrs. Floyd (Ruth) Degenhart of San Diego, CA, and Mrs. Dephane Fisher of Orange, CA, a son, Bloyce Barnum of Metamora, IL, a step-daughter, Mrs. Pearl Koch of Minock, IL, a sister, Mrs. Sarah Bastien of Monroe City, MO., 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren. Three brothers and 3 sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Falk had been a practical nurse for about 25 years, last working in 1942. She was a member of Peoria Congregational Church.
