Obituary from an unidentified contemporary newspaper: Hastings - Vada E. Aspinall, age 91, of Hastings, was called home to be with her Lord Monday, May 17, 2004. Vada was born in Barry County on January 26, 1913 to Blake and Lema (Wilson) Barnum. She married Floyd Aspinall on Nov. 12, 1931. Vada is survived by her daughter and sister, Vernelva Solomon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; parents, Blake and Lema Barnum; son, Robert Aspinall; daughter, Barbara Forman; sisters, Leo Price, Fern Williams and Glenna Cheney; brothers, James Barnum and Ivan Barnum; and her special aunt, Myrtle Wilson. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2004.
Burial will take place in Fuller Cemetery.
