From an unidentified contemporary newspaper: Delores Beyers, Fargo, ND, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015, in Goodyear, AZ, at the age of 78.
Delores Ann Barnum was born in Breckenridge, MN, on June 24, 1936, the oldest daughter of Milburn and Hilda Barnum. She lived her young life with her family on a farm north of Breckenridge. Delores attended country grade school and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1954.
On October 8, 1955, Delores married Gerald Beyers at Brushvale Catholic Church in Brushvale, MN. To this union the couple had three children, son, Terry Lynn born in 1956, daughter, Tamera Kay born in 1959, and son, Timothy Lee born in 1960. Delores and Gerald lived in Breckenridge for several years employed in farming and, at one time, owned B and B Pizza Shop. In 1968, they moved to the Fargo/Moorhead area where they later created, along with Delores’s brother, Donald, ABC Seamless, Inc. They enjoyed many years of living in the Lakes area, the Fargo-Moorhead area and Delores particularly enjoyed winters in their home in Goodyear, AZ.
Tending to her many flower gardens at the lake and taking pride in her home were of great enjoyment to Delores. Had there been a prize for having the loveliest and most well-maintained home around, Delores probably would have received it. She was a great support to Gerald in the business and accompanied him on many company trips over the years. Above all, she enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren. Delores’s great sadness in life was the passing of her daughter, Tammy, from cancer in 2006.
Delores is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gerald; sons, Terry (Julie), Horace, ND, and Timothy “Tyler”, Fargo; son-in-law, Kurt Chaput, Fargo; granddaughters, Cyn Dee (Richard) Chaput, Fargo, Sarah (Duston) Hoffner, Minneapolis, MN, Jenna and Jamie Beyers, both Horace, and Tehren Larson, Minneapolis; grandsons, Josh Baumann, Cory (Nicole) Chaput, and Jessie and Broc Beyers, all Fargo; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evonne Barnum; special friend, Tammy Beyers; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Chaput; parents; sister, Janice Severson; and her brother, Donald Barnum.
Visitation for Delores will be Monday from 4 PM until 7 PM, with a 7 PM prayer service, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery South, Fargo, ND.
