A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Eagle Bulletin, Fayetteville, NY, December 5, 1984: Virginia Tallman Siersma Barnum, 312 Hampshire Dr., DeWitt, died Wednesday, November 28. Mrs. Barnum lived in the Syracuse area all her life. She was a member and elder of Park Central Presbyterian Church and worked on behalf of many charitable organizations in Onondaga County. She was the wife of Harold A. Siersma who died in 1970 and T. Crouse Barnum who died in 1981. Surviving are a son, Dr. Peter W. Siersma of Williamsburg, Mass.; two daughters, Phyllis H. Siersma of Harrisburg, Pa., and Susan A. Siersma of Newport. R.I.; a sister, Mrs. Elmer Jencks of Mexico; four stepchildren and 4 granddaughters. Burial is in Oakwood-Morningside Cemetery.
