Obituary from an unidentified contemporary newspaper: Emma died at her home on the Little Elkhorn, Lincoln County, Kansas. She was born at Rocky Hill, Kansas where she resided with her parents until the past year when she was married to Jesse Hickle. She leaves a husband, infant daughter, father, mother, sisters, brothers and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 16 at the Dry Creek Church, and interment was made at the Sunnyside Cemetery. Note: Emma died giving birth to a daughter, also named Emma, who died in 1902.
