A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
Funeral Notice: Kay Adele Barnum: Funeral Services for Kathleen Adele Sawyer age 70 of Mentor will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio. Mrs. Sawyer lived in Mentor for the past 40 years and is formerly of Berea where she was born on October 14, 1935.
She died Friday August 11, 2006 at Hospice House in Cleveland. Mrs. Sawyer was a 1954 graduate of Berea High School. She was a Customer Service Representative at JC Penney's for 15 years and she also managed the JC Penney Restaurant. She was a member of St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, Mentor, Ohio.
Survivors include her husband Donald of Mentor, Daughter: Deborah (Mark) Schmidt of West Chester, PA, Sons: Mark (Barbara) Sawyer of Madison, Michael and Jeffrey Sawyer of Mentor, grandchildren: Rachel and Julia Sawyer, Violet and Nickolas Schmidt and Marissa Gazer and her sister, Shirley Moon of Berea. She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Violet Barnum and her sister Mary Lou Collins.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment is at Mentor Cemetery, Mentor, Ohio.
