Notes for James E. RYSEDORPH


From the Times Record, Troy, N.Y., Monday Evening, July 14, 1941: James E. Rysedorph, for the last 27 years employed as a welder at the Colonic shops of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad, died yesterday (July 13) at his home, 50 Paine Street, Green Island, after a long illness. He was born in Troy and lived in that city and in Green Island his entire life. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Green Island. Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Sarah Ann Barnum; five sons, Edward, George, James, Lynd and Charles Rysedorph, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Henry D. Smith, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Green Island, will officiate. Interment will be in New Mount Ida Cemetery.
