A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Valley Independent, December 6, 1989: Marjorie H. Barnum of Allenport, Pennsylvania died Tuesday evening, December 5, 1989, at her home. She was 79. Mrs. Barnum was born July 10, 1910, in Allenport, a daughter of the late William E. and Lydia Riley Balmer. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Athene Club, both of Charleroi. For many years, Mrs. Barnum was a well-known organist and pianist in the Mon Valley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Riley; her second husband, David R. Barnum; and by four brothers and seven sisters. Survivors include one son, John Riley of Pismo Beach, California and one granddaughter, Robin Alair Riley of Ventura, Calif.
