From the Meriden Daily Journal, Meriden, Conn., Wallingford Edition, Monday, March 16, 1935: Word was received here of the death of Henry Clifford Barnum, 61, of Waterbury on Saturday evening following a short illness. His death was a shock to all his relatives and friends. He is survived by his wife; a son, H. Curtis Barnum of Cheshire; three daughters, Mrs. Newton Tyler of Cheshire, Mrs. Hugh Wrenn and Miss Zella Barnum of Waterbury; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Wehrle and Mrs. S. W. Brotherton of Norwalk, two stepsons and two grandchildren. Rev. J. C. Walker of the Second Congregational Church of Waterbury will officiate at the funeral to be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Alderson Funeral Parlors. Burial will be in the new Pine Grove Cemetery.
