A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
The Bridgeport Post, Bridgeport, Connecticut, June 27, 1963: Brookfield, June 27-Services for Mrs. Bertha A. Alaby, 86, widow of Miles B. Alaby of Brookfield Center, who died Tuesday, took place today in the Tomlinson Homestead. Burial was in Central Cemetery. Mrs. Alaby was born in New Fairfield and lived most of her life in Brookfield where she made her home wither daughter, Mrs. Ralph Joyce, Sr. Survivors in addition to her daughter in Brookfield, are a son Ward K. Alaby of Brookfield; three other daughters, Mrs. Clarence Joyce and Mrs. Frank Scalzo of Danbury; and Mrs. Clarence Anderson of New Milford; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Hanson of Patterson, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
