A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Naugatuck Daily News, Monday, January 11, 1971: Orville T. Sherwood, 89, formerly of Pepper St., Stepney, Conn., died yesterday at the Jones Nursing Home (Naugatuck), after a long illness. He was born in Danbury, June 1, 1881, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus (sic Theadric) Sherwood. He had been a resident of Naugatuck for the past 11 years.
He is survived by two sons, Howard, Milford, and Benjamin, Danbury; one daughter, Mrs. George Vredenburg, Stamford, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Roxbury, at the convenience of the family.
