Notes for Minnie May SHERWOOD


From the Putnam County Courier, Wednesday, May 9, 1979: Mrs. Minnie M. Hanson, 91, of Danbury, Ct., widow of Louis J. Hanson, died at the Filosa Convalescent Home (Danbury) May 2 after a short illness. She was born Feb. 5, 1888, in Roxbury, Conn., daughter of the late Theadrick (sic) and Mary Barnum Sherwood. She lived in Patterson most of her life, moving to Danbury 12 years ago. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Danbury.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Hanson of Danbury and Earl C. Hanson of Bridgeport, Ct., five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at the Tomlinson Homestead with the Rev. Terry Pfeiffer of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Patterson.
