From the Herald & Review, Decatur, Illinois, May 29, 1992: Decatur -Leon H. Cassity, 80, of Decatur died 9:49 a.m. Wednesday (May 27, 1992) in St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. Cassity was born in Decatur on Feb. 1, 1912, son of Leonard H. and Eola E. McIntosh Cassity. He was a soil conservationist and then became an advertising executive for Fuller-Smith-Ross in Chicago. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He married Rachel B. Barnum on June 28, 1936. She died on May 7, 1992.
Surviving is his daughter, Mrs. Charles B. (Rebecca B.) Lennahan of Denver, Colo.; brothers, Ronald Cassity and Carroll Cassity, both of Decatur grandchildren, Claire and Deborah Lennahan.
His parents and wife preceded him in death. Memorial service for Leon H. and Rachel B. Cassity will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Westminster Presbyterian Church.
