A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
From the Syracuse Herald-Journal, Thursday, December 12, 1991: Services for Shirley J. Barnum, 65, of 208 N. Main St., North Syracuse, who died Tuesday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Perkins Funeral Home, Dryden. Burial will be private.
A native of East Syracuse, Mrs. Barnum also lived in Perry and Cortland before moving to North Syracuse in 1985. She was assistant manager of Park Lane Apartments in North Syracuse and previously was employed with Champion Products in Perry. Mrs. Barnum served in the Women's Army Corps.
Surviving are her husband, Frederick E.; two daughters, Janet C. Welch of Preble and Susan J. Bigelow of Alabama; a son, John F. of Boston, Mass.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
