Early Settler of Oregon Dies Near Beaverton. Beaverton, Or., June 15, 1911. – (Special.) – Mrs. Emeline Barnum Robinson, who had resided near Robinson Station since 1852, died Saturday morning. She was born in Jefferson County, Indiana, September 16, 1828, and was wedded to William Robinson, January 9, 1848, in the county of her birth. They crossed the plains in 1851 and early in 1853 her husband took up a donation claim, on which he lived until his death, 13 years ago. Mrs. Robinson remained on the claim. She leaves four children: Agnes Walker, wife of J. E. Walker; Mrs. Viola Smith, Raleigh Robinson and Miss Florence Robinson, all residing near Robinson. She had been a member of the Christian Church for over 30 years, and was highly esteemed in the community. The funeral was held Tuesday, Rev. Vallandigham, of Hillsboro, conducting the services.
