From the Saint Petersburg Times, Florida, July 7, 2004: Margery L. Haffner Butler, 74, died Monday, June 28, 2004. She was born in Pittsfield, Mass., May 16, 1930. She was a graduate of Plant High School in 1948. She was a member of Hyde Park United Methodist Church and worked for the past 12 years as an AAFES MacDill Associate. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold R. Haffner Sr. and Maude A. Barnum Haffner, and a brother, Carl L. Haffner. She is survived by brothers, Dr. George L. Haffner and his wife Marjorie, Harold R. Haffner Jr. and his wife Catherine, and Irwin D. Haffner and his wife Leatrice; sisters, Ruth Haffner Thomas and her husband Guy, Priscilla Haffner Black Broxson and her husband John Herman; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews (grands and great). A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Ave., with the Rev. Edna Kate Jacobs of St. John's United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
