A One-Name Study for the BARNUM/BARNHAM Surname
Obituary from an unnamed contemporary newspaper: Passing of Mrs. Howard Barnum. Mrs. Faye Elizabeth Barnum, wife of Howard Barnum, died in the Pike County Hospital at 5:00 o'clock Wednesday morning after an illness of one month of tuleremia (rabbit fever). The funeral services were conducted in the Haley Chapel at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon by Rev M. F. Dawson, with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnum was born in Montgomery City. She was 22 years, one month and three days of age. She was a daughter of Edward and Nora Thompson Aubichon (sic), who live in Vandalia. Mr. and Mrs. Barnum lived at No. 101½ North Fifth St.
Some time ago a stillborn child was born and the mother never left her cot after the birth. She had lived here several years and had many friends.
