From an unnamed contemporary newspaper: Ticonderoga - Glen L. Porter, 72, of 10 Grove Ave., Ticonderoga, died Tuesday, Jan. 9. 1990, at the Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness.
He was born in Ticonderoga Sept. 12, 1917, the son of Sherry and Marion (Vradenburgh) Porter.
Mr. Porter was a veteran of World War II. He served seven years in the Army, and he was stationed in Panama as a sergeant in the Signal Corps.
After the Army he worked as a maintenance planning analyst at International Paper's Ticonderoga Mill.
He was a charter and former member of the Ticonderoga Emergency Squad, former president of the Ticonderoga Snowmobile Club and former president of the Ticonderoga Babe Ruth League.

Burial will be in the Porter lot in Valley View Cemetery in the spring.
