Although christened Catherine, she appears to have preferred the spelling Katherine. She was born about 1841 and christened on 21 June of that year at St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands. She was the daughter of Hildebrand Barry Barnham and Lucy Ussher.
In 1868 at Southsea, Kate married (1st)Capt. John Webber Collier-Tucker, RN.
In 1895, she married (2nd), divorcee Aubrey de Vere Beauclerk.
She died on 23 January 1919Â and was buried on 27 January at St John the Evangelist, Bath, Somerset, England.
