On an 1875 map of Lawrence Township, Sophia is shown living next door to John Lewis. By birth she was half French (father) and half German (mother).
The Territory of Wisconsin, where Sophia was born, remained a territory of the United States from the end of the War of 1812 until it was admitted to the Union as the 30th state on 29 May 1848.
Sophia died at the age of 62 years, 10 months, 7 days.
