Notes for Austin John LOWE

From the Ironwood Daily, 16 December 1948: Austin Lowe, 60, died at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital. Funeral services held at Allen Cane Funeral Home, the Rev. Byron C. Matel officiating. Burial at the Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Lowe was born 5/29/1888 in Ontonagon and had lived here most of his life.
He enlisted in the army for service in World War 1 on June 1917 and served with Co. "G" 44th infantry. He was discharged 1/1919.
He was a member of the American Legion, the Eagles Lodge and the Pulp & Paper Makers Union.
Surviving are 3 brothers, Loomis - Midway Park, N.C., John - Brunswick, Ga. & Cecil - Longview, Wash. & 2 sisters, Mrs. Joe Gunville - Detroit, Mrs. Robert Colclasure - Ontonagon.
