Records of Military Service

The following chart provides details of the military service of many members of the BARNUM Family, from the various pre-revolutionary campaigns through the Spanish-American War.

Wherever it was possible to make a positive identification of an individual, that information has been included within the associated family group as well as on this chart. However, many individuals have not yet been positively identified and others don't appear in any of the family groups in this web site. In some cases, there may be more information included in a family group than in this listing.

While this information is provided to aid in documenting the military service of some members of the BARNUM Family, it is not by any means complete or all inclusive.

Three members of our family have been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. Click on the previous link if you'd like to see the wording of their citations.
