Notes for Lewis BARNUM

Lewis Barnum was taking passengers across the mountains and died at
LaVeta Pass, of pneumonia. LaVeta Pass is located in the Sangre de
Cristo Range of the Rocky Mountains, at an altitude of 9413 feet above
sea level. The westernmost branch of the Santa Fe Trail passed through
it.
