The New York Times, February 17, 1911. $100,000 for Archbishop. Glennon Gets That Sum by Will of Widow of Thomas J. Barnum.
St. Louis, Feb. 16.—The will of Mrs. Agnes Barnum, probated in Clayton, Saint Louis County, yesterday, bequeathes approximately $100,000 to Archbishop J. J. Glennon, while Catholic charities and relatives are remembered with considerable sums.
Mrs. Barnum, who died Feb. 9, was the widow of Thomas J. Barnum, who amassed a fortune in operating stage coaches in the West.
