From the Utica (NY) Observer Dispatch, no date: The funeral of Amos S. Barnum, 78, who died Thursday, May 8, 1941 in his home after a brief illness will be held at 2 PM Monday. He was born August 20, 1862, in Whitesboro, NY where he lived until he was 18 years old. For the last 60 years Mr. Barnum had lived in Utica where for 50 years he conducted the Empire Laundry. He married Diana Borman August 19, 1883 in Little Falls. Besides his wife he leaves a son Roy and a granddaughter Miss Ruth Barnum Utica.
