From Bennett Genealogy prepared by Anna E. Curtis of Pine Hill Road, East Norwalk, Connecticut and mailed to KBD on 11 May 1955. Dr. Stephen Bennett, son of William Bennett and Abigail Hiscock, was born and baptized Dec. 28, 1747 (died Sept 5, 1803) at Westport, Connecticut. (then known as Greens Farms). He practiced here as a physician. At the time of the Revolution he moved to Ridgebury, Connecticut. He married three times and for his third wife married Lucy Barnum. They were the parents of Eli Barnum Bennett, born June 24, 1792, died Nov 17, 1883
