Notes for Paul Eltinge BARNUM

From the Kingston Daily Freeman, Kingston, NY, March 17, 1956: Paul E. Barnum, 53, died in this city today. The funeral will be held at Reformed Church of the Comforter, Wynkoop Place Tuesday at 2 p. m. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Ewen. Surviving are his wife, the former Kathryn Cole; three daughters, Mrs. Robert West of Connelly; Mrs. Bertrand K. Burr of Kingston and Mrs. Robert Scheffel of Kingston; his father, Frank W. Barnum of Beacon; two sisters, Mrs. Philip Goertz of Salt Point and Miss Ruth Barnum of Thiells; also seven grandchildren.
He was a mail carrier in Kingston Main Post Office for many years and was a member of Church of the Comforter and also served as organist of the church. Mr. Barnum also served as pianist of Mendelssohn of which he has been a member for many years.
