Will of David Dunning, written 22 April 1766: ...to my wife Hannah, son David, daughter Anna, 20 schillings, a small portion as she has already received her portion. Daughter Mehitabel, 5 sons David, Gideon, Abijah, Richard, Silas...
Division of estate 23 February 1785: to the widow £65, to eldest son, David £19-7-11, to Gideon, Richard, & Abigail (sic) [probably s/b Abijah], Silas, to Hannah, to Richard, David and Abi_?_, to David, Richard, Mehittabel, Abigail, and Hannah.
In 1786, the remainder of the estate was settled....set off to the heirs of Anne Barnum, deceased: 12 shillings. Signatures on the settlement papers: Hannah Dunning, David Dunning, Gideon Dunning, Richard D., Silas D., Hannah D., Gershom Jackson, Mehittabel Jackson, Francis Barnum, Eber Murray, Abigail Murray, Abijah Dunning. Dated 22 August 1786, Francis Barnum, one of the signers, personally appeared in Bennington County before me, John Shumway, J.P. [John Shumway was a resident and JP in Dorset, VT]
