Notes for William SLOCUM


William Slocum was wounded in the heel by a musket ball on 16 Dec 1778, when his father Jonathan and grandfather Tripp were killed by Indians. William was Sheriff from 1795-1799, retired to his Pittston Township (PA) farm, and was elected Justice-of-the-Peace in 1806. He lived in Wilkes-Barre from about the age of 12-15.
