Notes for Edna May BARNUM

When Edna Mae was born she was declared dead and tossed into a basin. Her mother was in critical condition and all attention was given to saving her. It was later discovered that Mae was alive and she was then attended to. As she was not breathing until sometime after her birth, there is speculation that she may have suffered brain damage. She suffered from paranoia all her life, and did not go to a doctor until several hours before her death from liver cancer.
