From the NY Times of 10/30/1929: New Haven, CT, Oct 29--Richard N. Barnum, former president of the Mercer Motor Company, died at his residence in Riverside, Broome County, NY on Thursday and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery here today. Mr. Barnum was born in Hoosick Falls, NY (The Phelps Genealogy and Census records say he was born in CT) 53 years ago and was graduated from Sheffield Scientific School at Yale in 1898.
