Notes for Charles HEWITT
According to Boyd's Marriage Index, 1538-1840, they were married in the London Diocese by the Bishop.
Heckfield, where Charles Hewitt lived, is a village and parish in the Hartley Wintney district, Hampshire. The village stands near the river Loddon and the boundary with Berkshire, 5½ miles NW of Odiham. Part of Stratfieldsaye Park, the seat of the Duke of Wellington, is within the town limits. The church is ancient, with a massive tower; was well repaired in 1830; and contains a fine font and some interesting monuments.
