Notes for Paul Jerome BARNUM


From the Chronicle Telegram, Elyria, Ohio, February 9, 2005: Paul Jerome Barnum, 91, of Valley City, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at his home after a long illness. Born in Grindstone City, Mich., he had lived in Grafton Township since 1965. He was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church in Valley City for many years. A carpenter by trade for more than 35 years, he enjoyed working with his son on the farm growing produce for Jeff's Farm Market on state Route 82. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and many outdoor activities. Survivors include his wife Eileen, to whom he would have been married 70 years on Feb. 8; sons Jeff Barnum of Valley City and James Barnum of Apalo, Fla.; and seven grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Josephine Barnum; a son, David; two brothers; and four sisters.
A 10 a.m. Mass will be Friday at St. Martins Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Martins Church Cemetery.
