From the Finger Lakes Times, Geneva, NY, June 18, 1979: Phelps, NY—Mrs. Christine F. Barnum, 89, died Saturday (June 16) at Clifton Springs Hospital after a long illness. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery. Mrs. Barnum was born July 15, 1889 and had lived in the Phelps area all her life. She was the widow of Victor Barnum who died in 1957. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Erin (sic Aaron) Norton of Old Forge; one son, Robert of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
