Obituary: Doris B. Hanna. April 27, 1926 - May 2, 2013. Doris B. Hanna, 87, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013. She was born in Chardon, OH. She was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she served on various committees and sang in the church choir. Doris was an active member of SINAWIK. She worked in the admissions department at the University of Evansville. Doris had a passion for cooking and belonged to a gourmet dinner club. She truly loved her family was fond of her dog, Bailey. She will be remembered as an amazing woman who gave much to family, friends and to her community.
Doris is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ralph L. Hanna; children, Sherry (Richard) Nahrwold of Ft. Wayne, IN, David (Nancy) Hanna of Nashville, TN and Laurie (Mark) Schenck of Cleveland, OH; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Caroline Ucker of Florida.
Services will be 10:30 AM Monday, May 6, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mitch Gieselman. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and Monday from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.
