From the New York Times, July 4, 1883: Barnum.—On Monday, July 2, Rebecca Hayt, wife of Frederic S. Barnum. Funeral on Thursday, July 5, at 1:30 o’clock P.M., from the residence of her father, E. A. Hayt, at Patterson, Putnam County, New York. Carriages will meet the train leaving Grand Central Depot at 10:30 A.M., via Harlem Railroad.
