From the Daily Observer, Utica, NY, April 28, 1983: Potsdam, New Y0rk. - Isabelle V. Barnum, 91, of 100 Genesee St., New Hartford. N.Y. died while visiting her daughter Mrs. Bradford (June) Broughton. She was born in Croghan, N.Y., daughter of Samuel and Margaret Keib Virkler She was educated in Lowville Academy and had lived in the Utica area most of her life She married Frank T. Barnum in 1913 in St. Francis de Sales Church. Mr. Barnum died in 1959. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford and also the Young-At-Hearts. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Bradford (June) Broughton, Potsdam; a sister, Mrs. Irene Kelly. Croghan, NY.; two grandchildren, Mrs. Andris (Megan) Blumbergs, New City, NY, Thaddeus B. Broughton, Boston, Mass.; a great-grandson, Kristoffer, New City; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Paul Barnum died in infancy and another son Thaddeus Barnum died in 1940.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boonville, NY.
