From his Ohio Death Certificate: Herbert Eulyn Barnum was born in Stryker, Ohio on May 23, 1927 (Certificate gives wrong year of birth) and died in Bryan, Ohio on November 16, 1943. His death was a result of a fractured skull, internal bleeding, and other injuries caused by an automobile accident. According to his death certificate, his vehicle left the highway and struck a culvert.
