John Nelson Barnum, Sr. (June 29, 1941 - July 6, 2009). John N. Barnum, 68 of Brunswick passed away on July 6, 2009 in Cleveland. He was born on June 29, 1941 in Lodi, Ohio. He was a shop supervisor at Dove Die for 44 years. He retired from Tremont Industries in Berea in 2007. He had a lifelong passion for woodworking, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of NRA, Walleye Association, and the Brunswick Eagles. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Virginia “Jenny” Estep, sons John N. Barnum, Jr. of Brunswick, Jeffrey (Betty) Barnum of Medina, Joseph Barnum of Chippewa Lake, and Michael Barnum of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley Schunn of Brunswick and Joyce (Jim) Tilley of Alabama; brother Robert (Enid) Barnum of North Carolina. Preceded in death by his parents John and Gladys (neé Allen) Barnum, brother Richard Barnum, and special niece Vickie. Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley.
