Notes for Adam Van VALKENBURGH

Adam Van Valkenburg was born in Montgomery County, New York, in 1799. He came to Michigan in 1844. He was married three times, a widow and 5 children yet remain. He had been a resident of Bellevue many years. He was converted in early life and joined the M.E. Church. of which he has ever since been a member. On the afternoon of August 6th he peacefully fell asleep. Father Van's last hours were without a cloud to darken the sky of his future. Thus another of our old citizens has passed to his reward. May God bless those who mourn his loss.
